Effective date: July 20, 2026 Provider: Danqian Lou, independent developer ("Off the Clock," "we," "us") Contact: loudanqian01@gmail.com
By installing or using Off the Clock, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Off the Clock.
You must be 18 years or older to use Off the Clock. By using it, you confirm that you are, and that your use complies with the laws that apply to you.
Off the Clock is a wellness and self-discovery tool for daily self-reflection. It uses AI to ask reflective questions, respond as a compassionate companion, and write periodic self-insight summaries.
Off the Clock is NOT a medical device, mental-health service, or clinical tool; a source of medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice; or a diagnosis, treatment, or crisis service.
No reliance. Do not rely on Off the Clock for medical or mental-health decisions; consult a qualified professional. If you may be in crisis or danger, contact your local emergency number or crisis line — in the U.S., call or text 988 — immediately. Off the Clock may surface such resources but does not provide crisis intervention.
Off the Clock's questions, replies, and reports are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuited to your situation. They are for personal reflection only, and you are responsible for how you interpret and act on them.
You retain your reflections. You are responsible for what you share, and you should not enter information about other people that you are not entitled to share, or content that is unlawful. To operate the features you request, you grant us a limited license to process your text solely to generate responses (see the Privacy Policy); we do not use it to train AI models and do not sell it.
Do not: misuse or disrupt the service; attempt to extract API keys or credentials; access the backend other than through the extension; use Off the Clock for any unlawful purpose or to harm others; or reverse-engineer except as permitted by law.
Paid features ("Off the Clock Pro") are sold through Paddle.com, our merchant of record — your purchase is made from Paddle, which handles payment processing, applicable taxes, and refunds. Prices, billing cycle, and renewal terms are presented at purchase.
Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via the billing portal linked in the extension; cancellation stops future charges and your access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
Off the Clock, its software, and its content (excluding your reflections) are owned by the provider and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Off the Clock under these Terms.
Off the Clock is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Off the Clock will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the provider and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on Off the Clock or its AI output. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the provider from claims arising out of your misuse of Off the Clock or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
You may stop using Off the Clock at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend or end the service, with or without notice, as permitted by law.
Before bringing any claim, contact us at loudanqian01@gmail.com — most concerns can be resolved informally, and we will try in good faith for 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the provider's place of residence, except that nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live. Purchases are additionally governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, as Paddle is the merchant of record.
Under Cal. Civ. Code §1789.3, California users may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or (800) 952-5210.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, requesting renewed consent in the extension. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
